I had a period where I wrote a lot of songs. |

And you know..when you're young songwriting, |

you're not quite sure if anything is any good. |

And so uh, there was one song in particular that I wrote. |

and I played it for a couple of songwriters that I really respected. |

And they listened to it. And they said,"oh yeah,it's...it's good!" |

He said,"A good song will find a good home" |

And I never forgot that. |

And the song I'm about to play you I wrote it in 1977. |

And...it was in 1995 that I got the call from the great Chet Atkins to come and record with him. |

And I played this song over the phone to him. |

Thinking...well,I hope you'll like it. |

And he did,and it ended up on the album. |
